The trail winds through historic downtown, past renovated mill houses and through quiet residential streets. It qualifies for the following Special Programs: Bakeries Family Owned, Honoring Law Enforcement, Main Street, Murals, and Walking America's Trails. There are several nice restaurants downtown, or bring a picnic and join us in the park!

Northbound on I-85, take Exit 26 Mt Holly/Belmont/Belmont Abbey Col. Take exit ramp to McAdenville Rd, Turn left onto McAdenville Rd, then right onto N Main St. (Rte 7). Bear right at the "Y" intersection onto N Central Ave. Go about 6/10 mile and turn right onto Harris St., Take a slight left onto Park Dr and follow it around the ballfield to the picnic area.

Southbound on I-85, take Exit 26 Mt Holly/Belmont/Belmont Abbey Col. Turn right onto Belmont Mt Holly Rd, which becomes N Main St after crossing over I-85, Bear right at the "Y" intersection onto N. Central Ave. Go.about 6/10 mile and turn right onto Harris St.. Take a slight left onto Park Dr and follow it around the ballfield to the picnic area.
